35mm film photography for bands, live performance and press shots now available.

I’ve dusted off the Nikon F5 had it cleaned and serviced. Now when we can I’m offering photos shoots in 35mm film - I will also scan the images for web use. This camera will be for performance and promo work, and I will also be using the medium formate 120mm Mamiya 645 PRO-TL for editorial.

These days, almost everyone has access to a digital camera in the form of a smartphone. And yet, although we live in an increasingly digital world, there are many benefits to shooting and developing film the old-fashioned way.

Any image we see from pre 1999 is on film, and some of the greatest music images have been made on film, it’s not easy and can take a couple of weeks to get images ( I shoot both digital for speed and film for the look but a little bit of planning is needed, you need to allow a couple of weeks before images are presented )

I have a number of film stocks in colour and black and white. With film, we get a “look” with different film brands, emulsion so we will discuss options and looks before the shoot.

We can get prints “wet prints” from the negatives, but it can cost more and delay things. The best option is I get images digitized - converted into JPEG for web use and print - the image will still retain the look of film but be a clean image formate for use in the modern-day.
