Capturing the energy of live music.

Live music is about more than what’s happening on stage. It’s the atmosphere, the connection between artist and audience, the movement, the light and those split-second moments that can disappear as quickly as they happen. I create powerful, authentic live music photography for artists, bands, venues, promoters and music industry clients across Manchester, the UK and Europe.

My aim is to create images that capture what it actually felt like to be there. I look for the moments that show the personality of the artist as well as the energy of the performance — from full-stage images and crowd interaction to the close-up moments that reveal something about the person behind the music. The result is a collection of photographs that can be used for press, promotion, social media, editorial, artwork and future campaigns.

I’ve photographed artists and bands at venues ranging from small clubs to major venues and festivals, working with both established acts and emerging artists. My experience includes long-term work with artists including James, The Charlatans, Inspiral Carpets, IST IST, The Zutons, Happy Mondays, The Slow Readers Club, Tim Burgess, Twisted Wheel and many more.
